Easy Valentine’s Day Crafts For Kids

We are trying to muddle through a 6 day weekend here at the i dream of DIY household. Icy storms + freezing temperatures + school cancellations = bored, rambunctious kiddos. I decided a good Valentine’s craft is the perfect way to keep their little minds busy.

There are a bunch of really great ideas over on Pinterest (of course!), but these simple, super cute crafts are right up my little kids’ alleys. And I know some grandparents that are going to love them too.

So if you have some sweet little munchkins that need an activity, try one of these budget-friendly (but oh so lovable!) crafts.

Happy Hooligans

Handmade cards are the best, aren’t they? And little kids love to make them! Win, win. I love how these have texture and interest from the different ribbons…and that I can use up some of the ribbon stash I have lying around. So it’s actually a win, win, win. Tutorial here.

I have an irrational fear of bees but even I couldn’t say no this is adorable Bee My Valentine card! Tutorial here.

Valentine’s Day Play Dough Recipe

Eat, Drink, and Save Money

We love play-dough in this house but, for some reason, homemade play-dough elevates me to super-magical, wonder woman status in my kids’ eyes. I’ll take whatever adoration I can get! This recipe is perfect and won’t hurt your kiddo if they decide to sneak a taste. Tutorial here.

So there we go! My picks to get my young kiddos excited for Valentine’s Day…and keep them entertained!
